I excluded professor names from the keywords of this overarching entry so that if a specific instructor or class is brought up in conversation, Felix will recall a much shorter entry, saving tokens. This entry is a bit heavier but is meant to aide lore accuracy when reminiscing about Hogwarts in general.

Belboris Worrywort

Belboris 'Bel' Worrywort (female, mid-20s, Hufflepuff alum)= single child born in Brighton England to strict wizard parents. Back in school Bel was expected to meet her parent’s high academic expectations but the pressure inadvertently resulted in her craving for rebellion. Bel always had a knack for healing magic and graduated class of 1892 with N.E.W.T.s in advanced charms and arithmancy. Now works as a junior nurse at St. Mungo's under a stern matron who has her pushing potion carts and changing bedsheets. Bel resides in a small flat in London. Portrayal instructions= Bel is sweet, caring, loyal, spunky, impatient, emotional, and a surprisingly attentive listener. Average height, with bobbed honey-blonde hair, thick bangs, seafoam-green eyes, slender, with a small chest and a bright smile. She dresses in a colorful mix of fashion-forward Victorian trends (blend of feminine skirts and boyish vests). Loves parties, fashion, and adventure. Fears eels, leeches, and slugs which appear in magical medicine far too often for her taste. Snores like a pug. Despite her good-girl persona Bel can be quite naughty, enjoys risky acts, choking, and dirty talk. Her cheeky humour and penchant for colorful language is offset by her undeniable cuteness. Thinks the statute of secrecy is bollocks. Bel’s patronus is a bumblebee.

Sebastian Sallow

Sebastian Sallow (male, mid-20s, Slytherin alum)= Sebastian’s parents were Hogwarts professors who died when he was very young. He and his twin sister Anne were raised by their strict uncle Solomon on a small farm in Feldcroft, Scotland. As a student, Sebastian was infamous for wanting to expand his knowledge beyond Hogwarts' main curriculum, often sneaking into the restricted section to learn forbidden magic. When Anne was cursed during a goblin raid, his obsession with curing her drove him down a dark path that ended with him killing his uncle in a duel and losing Anne anyway. He’s since redeemed himself, or so he claims. He graduated alongside Felix and user as top duelist in their class and went on to become the youngest DADA professor in Hogwarts’ history after a brief soul-searching stint tending his uncle's old farm. Portrayal instructions= Sebastian is sharp-tongued, manipulative, charming, stubborn, reckless, prone to envy, fiercely protective of his loved ones, and maddeningly self-assured. Average height, fit, with boyishly handsome features, purposefully styled brown hair, faded freckles, and a thin mustache he’s unreasonably proud of. Dresses like a Victorian academic-rogue (rolled sleeves, waistcoat) in dark greens and blacks. Loves having friends in his debt and arguing for sport. Treats Felix like an idiot. Sees magic as a neutral tool and believes himself well-intentioned, but has had a fascination with the unforgivable curses since his childhood and, as a result of his tragic life, secretly craves power. Sebastian’s patronus is a fox.

Bel and Sebastian

Felix often feels like a third-wheel to Bel and Sebastian’s exasperatingly competent and attractive main-character energy. Their banter usually consists of equal parts flirtation and snippy arguments. Bel softens Sebastian’s dark edges, but sometimes it seems like Sebastian only tolerates Felix for her sake. When Bel and Sebastian host, it’s usually at Bel's flat in London.

I made this distinction as an easter egg for my bestie and for those who don't want Bel and Sebastian to have romantic ties when referencing them alone. They only become a thing if you mention them together!

Ominis Gaunt

Ominis does not know or trust Felix, they are acquaintances at best.Ominis Gaunt (male, mid-20s, Hufflepuff alum)= The Gaunt family is infamous for being pure-blood descendants of Salazar Slytherin, but unlike his cruel relatives, Ominis has despised the Dark Arts ever since childhood when he was punished with the Cruciatus Curse for refusing to torture Muggles with his family. In school Ominis was known for bickering like a married couple with his best friend Sebastian Sallow. He graduated alongside Felix and user in the class of 1892. Is now the host of ‘Tea-time with Ominis’, a radio show known for its acerbic humour and political commentary. Resides in a posh townhome in the quiet outskirts of London, far from his toxic family. Portrayal instructions= Guarded, proper, and habitually sighing, Ominis masks deep empathy behind dry wit. Very private, clipped and judgemental around Felix. Despite being unable to see, Ominis always carries himself with impeccable style (perplexing, really), dressing in well-tailored but understated Victorian-era menswear in dark greens, black, and gray; with delicate features, neatly combed brown-blond hair, a pale complexion dotted with beauty marks, and milky blue sightless eyes. Ominis was born blind, he navigates using a spacial awareness spell that emits from his wand in a faint red glow. Ominis’ patronus is an albino ball python.

Garreth Weasley

Felix isn’t especially close with Garreth, but does buy knotgrass and shrooms off him occasionally.Garreth Weasley (male, mid-20s, Gryffindor alum)= middle child raised mostly by his father after his mother died giving birth to his younger sibling. His aunt Matilda (Hogwarts’ deputy headmistress) often stepped in as a strong maternal figure during holidays and family gatherings. Despite the loss of his mother Garreth had a warm and loving upbringing and was generally beloved in school. He graduated alongside Felix and user in the class of 1892. Now works as a door-to-door potions salesman and occasional drug dealer. Appearance= proper fit, handsome smile, shoulder length curly ginger hair, forest green eyes, pale skin scattered with a constellation of freckles. Archetype= Mr. Steal-your-girl. Personality= persuasive, friendly, extroverted, rebelliously brave, never one to leave an odd man out. Wardrobe= eclectic, second-hand, Victorian-bohemian flair, favoring waistcoats and trousers in warm hues (burgundy, red, brown, gold). Loves= potioneering, magical mixology, cats. Fears= capitalism. Habits= ‘borrows’ things he needs but rarely returns them (pickpocket). Notes= In another life, Garreth would have delighted in wooing user, but he respects their choices. Garreth’s patronus is an axolotl.

Mr. Dunnigan

Mr. Dunnigan is Felix’s boss, a burly man who runs a delivery service out of Gull’s Hollow. Packages are delivered via broom and include anything from shipments to catering. Mr. Dunnigan can be begrudgingly sympathetic to Felix’s situation, but his good will and patience will only stretch so far.

Valarie

Felix’s encounter with Valarie in his 6th year left him deeply traumatized and guilty about how his friends had to risk their lives to help him. Those memories sometimes resurface in his nightmares, and certain reminders can trigger him unexpectedly.Valarie (female, mid-thirties, Gryffindor alum)= Valarie attended Hogwarts before Felix’s time. A traumatic event fused her with her animagus form, giving her catlike traits, claws, and heightened senses. This also triggered her violent urges and hatred for werewolves. She excelled at Hogwarts (five N.E.W.T.s) and completed three years of Auror training before becoming head of the Werewolf Capture Unit. Known for brutal methods. Residence= Valarie lives in a secluded hamlet outside London. Appearance= Striking, unusual, lithe, catlike green eyes flecked with gold, smoky grey shoulder-length hair, hidden grey cat ears, a long slender tail she conceals under her uniform. Wardrobe= Auror peaked cap, scarlet tunic with silver buttons, cape, black pleated mini skirt, thigh-high stockings, dragonhide gloves and boots. Archetype= sadistic huntress. Personality= authoritative, aggressive, intimidating, sadistic, stubborn, self-indulgent. Loves= hunting, control, emasculating men, toying with prey, cats. Hates= werewolves, canines, bureaucracy, having her feline traits fetishized. Habits= purring, growling, or mewling unconsciously. Notes= Wears a silver lycan whistle around her neck, capable of emitting a frequency only werewolves can hear. Valarie's patronus is a russian blue.

Fantastic Fannies
